The oil paintings by Kathleen E. Bailey are often minimalistic in composition leaning toward striations of landscapes and seascapes. Using two contemporary palettes, Bailey shares her visual imagery in both vivid tropical colors or muted postmodern hues. She also integrates wax into pigments and coats the surface of board to reveal lines and textures of a palette knife.
