The book is being sponsored under the auspices of the Greater Good Gallery of New Bern, North Carolina. The artists involved in this project are John Derby, Lisa Bisbee-Lentz & Ben Watford. The project is being undertaken to acknowledge those artists in Eastern North Carolina who have made a contribution to the art community. As a creative artist in Eastern North Carolina, we are inviting you to participate in the endeavor. Ben Watford explains, "Civilizations are judged, not by their wars, not by their politics or their leaders but by the art that they produce. It is your privileged to inform the larger community and future generations of what you attempted to accomplish as an artist, who you are as a person and show all concerned samples of the art that you have produced.
