Plans for a Revolution in the Arts (From a friend in the NYC arts scene)

FROM THOMAS:
... twelve up-and-coming arts leaders are participating in what's been dubbed a 'dinner-vention' -- described as "a platform to give those who do not yet have power and influence a chance to intervene into the national conversation on the big issues and to give them a voice and recognition."  Yesterday, one of the participants posted a lengthy think piece as she ruminated about what to say at this evening's event.  Below is an excerpt from this post by Devon V. Smith, who has worked for a number of nonprofit organizations across the country, primarily in the arts & culture sector, often having to do with digital strategy.  I encourage you to click on the title of her post to read the whole thing:
Plans for a Revolution in the Arts

From a friend in the NYC arts scene.. Note this section.   Wow.
  • stakeholders? I want whistleblowers who will blow the doors wide open at institutions who are inefficiently using the public's funds. Not just misappropriating them, but, for any reason, not maximizing the most productive use of capital to create art.
